ISABEL HIBBARD'S WHISPER is a very unusual, cool, light rose pink self, with darker rose eye and a yellow green throat. Having a 6" bloom 44" high, it's lovely planted with my David Austin roses because it's color is so clear. It was named for Isabel Hibbard, who was a wonderful daylily friend to many of us, mentor to me, and important hybridizer of daylilies. Always in great demand by garden visitors, stock is limited. It's a stunningly beautiful garden plant, has 26 buds, and three way, well spaced, branching. It's fragrant, semi-evergreen, diploid, and fertile both ways. (sdlg #46.1997)
