DANCING LIKE A BANSHEE - A huge, 12.5", Unusual Form bloom, about 20% poly. Blooms Early Season, on a 42" high scape with 4 way branching and 29 buds. 'FLUFF YOUR TUTU' - A lovely lavender pink 6" constant double, that loves to poly double about 40% of the time as well. It has pale white pink sepals, a pale yellow green throat and white midribs. It's very fertile both pod and pollen, and has been a great parent. It's sibling to 'Larry Young's Wow', and like it's sib is dormant, vigorous and makes wonderful neat clumps. FLYING DRAGON IN A RED SKY - It's a huge 10" Unusual Form bloom, up to 12" when not recurved, out of Passion's Promise. It's an intense red with an orange eye and yellow throat, white midribs and a light edge. Usually with quilled sepals. 26 " high, three way branching with 15 bud count. Very striking in the garden, it's never overlooked because of it's size and color. Throws up lots of scapes and has a long bloom season. Tetraploid. Semievergreen, blooms mid season thru August. LITTLE BALLERINA IN A TUTU - Won Best Seedling at 2004 LIDS Flower Show. It's a Small, 3" Sculpted, Cristate Double. Petals are a soft Cream Peach, with purple etched eye and Lime throat. Scape is 26" high, 3 way branched with 16 buds, blooming Early Midseason and reblooming into August here in zone 6. It's a Hardy Evergreen, sometimes Semievergreen in cold winters, Diploid. NIGHT INTO LIGHT - Color Changer - In the morning, it's dark velvety purple with a navy band and yellow green throat. As the day progresses, first the sepals start to lighten to pale lavender, then the petals lighten to change to violet with a navy band, and white midribs appear on the petals. By late afternoon depending on light and temperature, the plant finishes with grey/lavender petals, with a darker band, chrome yellow eye and light cream lavender sepals.
It's a Passion's Promise kid, which is where it gets it's gift of color changing. Bloom size is 5" on a 3 way branched, 34" scape with 26 buds. It's a Early Midseason, Tetraploid, and Semi-Evergreen. Seedling # 50.00.
NIGHT SONG OF THE DRAGON - Stunning, Extra large, 9" flower, 41" high. Very dark red/burgundy with velvet texture and veined petals. Large green open form throat with partial midrib. The bud count is 24 on four way branching. It reblooms here in my northern zone 6 garden. It blooms 20 up to 50% Polytepalous, Tetraploid. Evergreen. Hardy, vigorous, blooms Early mid season. OUT OF THE MIST was awarded an AHS Junior Citation in 2007, and also won Best Seedling at the Long Island Daylily Society flower show. It's a lovely graceful clear lavender. An Unusual Form, it has a 7.5" bloom, and is 44" high. It's an EMid, but blooms into August due to its 34 buds and four way branching, even here in zone 6. It's sev, dip and fertile both ways. Very vigorous, it's a really great parent in the "Whispering" line. (Registered in 2007). Just released last season. Very popular in the garden.
STUNNING IN PINK - Is such a vivid hot pink, that it's stunning from across the garden. It's a 100% Double with yellow green throat, very heavily ruffled and crinkled petals and petaloids. It starts blooming Midseason, each fan puts up a scape, and puts on a great show thru August. Bloom is 5.5", on a 26" to 29" high scape, with 18 blooms. It's a bud builder, is Diploid and Dormant. SWEET EILEEN ANN - Named by Marion Romeo in memory of her special cousin. This is a lovely plant with light cool pink petals, a darker rose band, and rose veins, yellow-green throat, white midribs and ruffles. It's and extremely vigorous plant, starting to open it's 3.5" blooms Early Season, well into August, with up to 45 buds on 4 x branched 27" scapes. It's Dormant and Diploid. Seedling # 53.97
TINY ANGEL IN A TUTU - A tiny little 2.5" cream double, with raspberry red split eye, with a yellow green throat. Petals recurve and sepals usually do not. A very, very distinctive, double eyed, edged and bi-color, Passion's Promise kid. Like it's parent, VENETIAN RULER changes according to sun exposure, but each is more beautiful than the other. WHISPERING DANCING SUNSHINE - Unusual Form, Crispate, 7" bloom, with quilled, curling, twisting, and pinched petals dancing on a 36" high scape. The color is a vibrant, cool lemon with a green heart and pale yellow ruffled edges. It's a vigorous, hardy semi evergreen plant, with 22 buds on 3 way branching. Diploid, blooms mid late. WHISPERING GREEN EYED DRAGON like most of the Whispering line, is an Unusual Form, Cascade. It's color is also unusual, Purple overlaid on Fuchsia with a vivid green throat and white midribs.
