I'm Pat Sayers and I love gardening. My garden is located on the north shore of Long Island, New York, up in the hills of Huntington. We're in zone 6, but have lots of freeze thaw cycles, so our plants have to be not only hardy but vigorous as well. I love building "secret garden rooms" and have a maze of them on just over an acre.
I love chatting and accept speaking engagements here in the US and in Canada. Topics are varied, from 'Building Secret Garden Rooms', to 'Old Farmers Tales and Tricks', or how about 'Sex in the Garden, Hybridizing 101' which is hybridizing techniques and tricks, or 'Tried and True Vigorous Daylilies and their Culture', 'Creating Floral Arrangements from the Garden', as well as hands on garden and flower show workshops.
We also host " Tea in the Garden" with English tea, scones, finger sandwiches and pastries. All is served in antique china, on little tables throughout the Garden Rooms. This is for garden clubs and plant societies, only, by appointment. Call (516) 650-2320 for additional information.
