ONSLOWS POWDER PUFF TOY is a light, clear, bright pink with bright rose eye, yellow to green throat, with cresting on extra petaloids. The flower is a 5.5" double, with a height of 34". It's very free flowering, throwing up multiple scapes per fan, with 20 buds to a scape. Starting Mid season, it blooms thru August. Diploid, it's fertile both ways, a favorite in the garden, very vigorous, hardy, semievergreen that goes dormant in hard winters. (sdlg#88.1998)
It always turns heads, PARISIENNE PETTICOAT is such a very pale, cool, white-pink with a cool pink eye, yellow green throat, and lots of ruffles, just like a petticoat. Surprisingly distinctive in the garden, and one of those blooms you won't forget. It has a 5" Bloom, is 27" High, and has 17 buds. It's a Mid season, Dormant, Diploid. Bright, intense red, with pale yellow edge and giant yellow/green star throat, PASSION WITH A TWIST, is a crispate with twisted, quilled and recurved sepals. The bloom is 7", on a scape 24" high. PASSION'S CRIMSON ECLIPSE is a dark, intense, saturated red, with yellow green throat and white edge on petals, sepals and tepals that get bigger as the day gets hotter. This plant blooms all summer, with 40 buds, and five way candelabra branching. Very, very vigorous. 4.5" Bloom, 36" High. Mid season thru August into September. Semi-Evergreen, Tetraploid. An intense bright lipstick red, with a lighter red watermark, yellow/green throat and white edge. PASSION'S HEART DESIRE bloomed single the first year and has doubled 50% of the time every year after that. It has many faces, sometimes round, sometimes quilled and sometimes the doubling is crested. The bloom is 6", with 28" scapes, and 18 buds on 3 way branching. Mid-Late season, blooming into August. White with yellow green extended throat, it has a 9" bloom, is 40" high, with 18 buds on a graceful, upright, three way branched scape. WHISPERING WINGED WIZARD is lavender with a lime green throat that extending out into a peach toned halo, and then to a blue/purple etched eye. It's 42" tall with a 7" bloom, unusual form, crispate, with pinched petals and quilled, twisted and recurved sepals. A show stopper in the garden, it has 17 buds on three way branching. Semi-evergreen, it blooms early-mid season into August. A diploid, it's very fertile both ways, and has been a good parent for me. (sdlg #12.2001)
WICKED WHITE WITCH is a very exciting high percent, Polytepalous, Unusual Form, with spatulate petals and quilled sepals. White with yellow/ green throat extending out onto petals and sepals, it has a 7" bloom, is 48" high, has 29 buds on four way branching. Blooms Mid season well into August, Semi-Evergreen, Diploid. Fertile both ways. Most buds are quads, but even the tri buds produce polytepalous blooms on this plant. Full sibling to Whispering White Witch (sdlg #5.04/ 18.2000) (Released 2014)
